Representing Bangladesh at the South Asia Regional Workshop on Land Valuation & Land Acquisition Reforms
It was a great honour and privilege to participate in the South Asia Regional Workshop on Land Valuation & Land Acquisition Reforms, held in Kathmandu, Nepal, organized by the World Bank Group, in collaboration with ADB, AIIB, RICS, and other distinguished development partners.
The workshop brought together policymakers, land administration experts, valuation professionals, and development practitioners from across South Asia to exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices on transparent land valuation systems, fair compensation mechanisms, and sustainable land acquisition reforms.
I am deeply grateful to the organizers for providing such a valuable platform for professional learning and regional collaboration. The insightful discussions and exchange of international experiences have further strengthened my commitment to promoting a modern, transparent, and scientific land valuation system in Bangladesh.
I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to the representatives of the Government of Bangladesh, especially the Additional Secretary (Land), Mr. Md. Imdadul Hoque Chowdhury, and all distinguished speakers for their valuable guidance and contribution throughout the program.
As a valuation professional from Bangladesh, I firmly believe that strengthening professional capacity, adopting international best practices, and enhancing regional cooperation will significantly contribute to improving land governance and supporting sustainable economic development.
I sincerely hope that Bangladesh will have the opportunity to host similar international workshops in the future, allowing professionals from across the region to continue sharing knowledge and working together for excellence in land valuation and land administration.
